Title: ABU 10000CL

Had bought this reel a few days ago, the guide had been remove, hence there are 2 big hole on each side of the reel. anyone has any idea how to cover up the hole? Is this reel capable of bring up big fish? and the how many pound drag this reel actually have? thk :)

To close the holes left in your reel you can put the levelwind wormshaft and its sleeve on the reel and not put the idler gear in it. The second option is to have a machinist lathe a post that you can mount it in the holes and serve as an extra bracing to the frame sides.

Many of the party boat guys fill the empty holes with silicon.

i just use plastic masking tape.
inside and outside the frame!
cut and shape after you remove all the level wind  gear.
