Title: Torium identification
Post by: retiredandfishing on June 28, 2020, 02:25:12 PM
Have a Shimano Torium in my shop.  All identification has been rubbed off except that I can make out it's a 30.  Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a TOR30HGA and a TOR30PGA? If not I'll have to try by finding pictures that match on the web or by examining schematic differences.. The reel checks out fine but it has a broken clutch handle, that's all I need to replace and the part numbers are different between the two models.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Steve

Gear ratio. PG 4.6:1,  HG 6.2:1.  Mark the spool and count how many times it turns on a full handle rotation.

The PG has a t-bar handle, the HG will have a round one. Unless someone has put a PG handle on an HG; does happen from time to time.

Must be an HG.  Marked on reel ratio of 6:2:1 and has a round handle.  Thank you.
