San Mateo County Court has ruled that the public must have access to Martin's Beach. Here is a link explaining the situation for those not from this area. This ruling could have a national impact. Dominick

That is cool. My grandfather claimed a law in Ca that fisherman must be able to fish. We had the police escort us to beaches twice. I believe in property rights but I also believe in the law of the people.

Ron, we have pretty good access to beaches in San Mateo County. In some places like NJ there are easements to the water but there is no parking for long distances. Some of the beach towns discourage using the easements. I too believe in property but public access to beaches should not be denied. Dominick
Awesome! A victory for us rabble! ;D
Blocking access is just flat out wrong. Sea Ranch area makes access to fishing tough, or did when I used to go up.
All beaches are public to the high tide line here and there are so few people that access is rarely an issue guess we're lucky.
It sure is good to be a billionaire. One does not have to obey a court order. Vinod Khosla is still fighting. Here is the latest. Dominick

Since there is now a valid Court Order -- we should get together, and just spend a day doing a little surf fishing for some Perch. 10 of us should do it nicely.
Best,
Fred

I like that plan Fred...and if we cast far enough, we can get into Lings and Rock Cod in the rocks.
