Title: Predator pricing
Post by: GulfOfBothnia on April 14, 2012, 07:07:05 AM
Hi,

I found something that makes me wonder if there are different versions of predator 5600c reel...

"Normal" price level is somewhere around 200€, e.g.
This advertises a sale price of 209€:
http://www.rialinna.fi/index.jsp?pid=77&productid=8043

But one shop here selling:
http://www.motonet.fi/web/guest/etusivu#productid=54-7325
only 99€ !!  and this price has been valid more than 8 months. Without advertising any sale.
I bought one of these last autumn... got even 10% discount -because of new shop membership- so I paid 89.10€

Any ideas that could explain this huge variation in pricing?

The options between Abus is hard to keep track of.  I know there are several Abu experts here, and they will be able to give you guidance.

Very big price difference. Is the one you bought for 89.10 Euros made in Sweden?

Well that's what I also feel specially for that particular model.

We have Abu's yearly catalogue in here. In there the 2011 recommended price was 239 €.

So I can not understand how anyone can sell for under 100 €.

But there are so many other things in this world that I do not understand  ;D
