So, one of my guy's is telling me the drag is backing off when reeling in a halibut (drag lever doesn't move) have to keep readjusting the drag...any thoughts?

Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

The only thing I can think of is one or all of the bellville washers fell off when installing the spool, they are a PIA. But I can not see why this would do it.

bob, i don't think it's the reel, and i don't think that it's something that you've done.  once you get the reel in hand, i think that you will find that there is either something else going on or that there is no problem at all.   :-\
