Beginner's Board / Re: 3 in 1 oil

Use a quality synthetic oil like Super Lube, Lucas Reel Oil, TS321, etc. For reels, 3 in 1 is better than WD40, or nothing, but that's about it.

I already removed the treble as the boat I fish in the spring doesn't like hooks on the bottom.  It was an old pic

Quote from: Porthos on March 31, 2024, 01:19:06 AMHave five 16oz and five 20oz cigar trolling sinkers to rig up with rings and assist hooks...

I've bought a bunch of through wired 16oz sinkers to make eddie bombs. I even powder painted a couple black just to see if they'll get bit,  I'm betting they do.

no eyes?

Got my first order of tungsten jigs in the mail today from Japan.  Waiting on a couple Daiwa TG jigs and I'll be all set for the trip.  Just gotta make some assist hooks for them.

Few years back I took a little magnet to most of the stainless in my household, nearly ALL of them attracted a magnet.

Fred, I also have a 302 that is missing its bail wire, line roller and line roller retaining nut including the little plate behind the nut if you have this available?

3in1 oil will lose its viscosity after use and is not so good in reels if it gets exposed to moisture. Works great on power tools, fans, vise, socket wrenches, pliers, cutting oil, door hinges and that sort of stuff where its not exposed to moisture. I believe its a type of mineral oil. Originally made of fish and whale oil. TSI 321 is well worth the investment.
