Anyone know a good reliable place for reel decals? Right now I'm needing them for the daiwa sealine 50h.

I agree these are great. Just wish they had reel decals. Ideas?

You need to find the image of what you need then find somebody close to you that has an Alps printer. Alps is the best for making these as they will print a white background of the image, therefore making the colors stand out on a dark background. You'll probably have to make a few until you get the size right and the color saturation but it can be done. After you get things the way you want them then print on either self stick or waterslide paper. After the image is printer make sure you spray it with a clear acrylic paint. I'd give it at least 2-3 coats.

Thanks for the idea Dave I might try the local print shop. I wish there was somewhere to order them easier.

The local print shop might not work. The key thing is the Alps MD printer. They are old and not that many have them but they might be able to steer you in the right direction. Best thing to do is ask a local rodmaker or if you know someone who is really into model railroads if they have or know someone with that printer.

also you need to consider drivers for an old printer. also if its a parallel connection you will most likely need a controller car put in your pc. personally if you intend to use the printer a lot i would buy an old pc just to run the printer. you can pick up a pc round 20 yeas old for around $20. try and go for something that will run windows version 98 up to windows 7 or at least xp. an old laptop will also do the job. the battery is not important as you can use the PSU
