Title: NEWELL 300-C
Post by: AJ on September 11, 2013, 11:23:05 PM
I just received a Newell 300-C I purchased on E-bay.  I though that the 300-C was a narrowed Penn 500 but this reel is the same width as my Jigmaster with 4:1 gears?  Did I goof?
Thanks, Robb

There were Newell 300-C kits...322/Penn 501...332/Penn 99...338/Penn 500...and perhaps a 344 size also, not sure on this size. The 300-C sideplates, handle and clamp were identical for all models...the only differences being the sizes of spool, posts and base.

Thanks Tunacious, looks like I'm stuck.

I am almost certain you can get a 501/506/146 stand and spool and convert it
