natch!

I think the big easy to access mag adjustment knob on the SM is for competition distance casters and surf fishermen who cast large bait and weight payloads long distances. Probably very useful to those guys that fish North Carolina's Outer Banks and such. Seigler is located very near there, kudos to them for designing and providing what those guys want.
Having said that, I fish mostly from boats off the West Coast. For flylining light baits and throwing jigs, the Seigler SS has caught my interest.
How does it compare to the SM for line capacity and general capability?
It's a hundred dollars cheaper and I believe it has no magnets.

Anyone use these for irons? Just got one and I'm planning on putting it on a jig stick.

Yes, back in June of 2020 at the Coronado Islands (pukey point) off Ensenada Mx, on the boat "Sea Watch" caught with a Blue/ White Tady 4/0 yoyo jig. I happen to literally be the only person that only jig caught a yellowtail, after that haul a handful of people re-rigged and more were caught on Irons.

These reels either Truth SM variants or Seigler SS (I own both) hold there own and are effective at both Surface Iron/ yoyo jigging or live bait flylining. If you own one a Truth/Seigler: SS/SM never let it go.
