Gary,
Agreed!
AND taking NOTHING away from the TANK.
This ProGear reel was buttery smooth, good range of drag pressure, great off-set handle,
Only downside...
was Dominick's constant yammering in my ear about this and that.
Other than that, the day was a winner!!!!
Wayne
well done Wayne, I think Dominics yammering would be good advise, could stand plenty of that, great fun, thanks for showing, cheers Don.
Gary, I have one torn apart on the table right now! I have to figure out how to cut the slots deeper in an old Penn steel gear, and then I'll start putting it back together. I have the SS gear, 5 stack, DD bridge and one of Alan's handles.
This will be my second completed one and the one I'll fish as it's got a few experience marks.
If I ever get to Alaska I'll beef it up to Big Butt grade like yours.

Wayne is a fly fisherman. He knows nothing about real man fishing. At least he knew nothing until my "yammering" made a successful salt water fisherman out of him. He needs me by his side to bring fish in. ::) Yammering indeed. :D ;D Dominick
When times are tough a wingman comes in handy, even if he yammers!
