Title: Waxing your spool?
Post by: Noahg727 on October 02, 2017, 01:48:19 AM
I recently saw a comment questioning why people no longer "wax their spool." Was wondering what exactly that means. Also, if it is helpful in keeping the spool from corrosion, how to do it or any other tip for preserving the spool.

Yes, waxing your spool with carnauba wax will fend off some corrosion. It's a good idea if you fish braid and leave it on for a few years.
