to help out one of annemarie's long time charters, we will be moving one week later for 2016, and will be on from monday, june 20th until saturday, june 25th. the format will be the same and the cost will be the same. an email just went out to all the people on the last two trips. after october 31st, the trip will open to the general members. the cost of the trip will be $1700, same as last year, and we will use the same "no tag" format. the deposit is $850. make the check out to me. my address for checks is 12362 ted court, saratoga, ca 95070. thanks a million! alan
I'm up for it.
The known dates will give Warren plenty of time to install his delrin washers... ;)
I will know for sure by the end of October, but most likely I will be able to go ;D ;D ;D

OK, $850 check to you by Oct 31st. I can manage that. Your email said Oct 1st. I was wondering, why only 2 days?

Likewise, Jeff. I've never been accused of having too much fun.

Looking forward to another great adventure with everyone next year! My check was sent this afternoon as an early Christmas gift to myself. Come on Tim, there's plenty of time to start collecting cans & bottles to fund your trip. We would certainly enjoy your company once again........D-
I'm in, got to run I have to pack.

Haha got a good chuckle out of that one Wai! I guess they're good to glue carbon fibre onto. I'm still working on my 3 under 3 over drag configuration with bearing and spacer centered on the gear, though. Heh,heh. The gear sleeves cut all the way to the bottom will make this easy.

So you were able to move on to this after triple dogging everything?

That was double dogging everything with triple tooth engagements per side, non alternating for strength.
You see how these threads morph off topic? Check will be in the mail after the 31st.

Great trip again this year on the Phenix charter on the Excel. Couldn't ask for better weather. Good fishing for Wahoo, Yellowtail and Yellowfin were harder to come by this year, and I think, only 3 Dorado for the boat. I had 5 Wahoo of 28 - 39#, 10 YT of 15 - 32#, 7 YFT of 10 - 32# and one Dorado of 17#. I had all the Wahoo, the 2 largest YT and YFT and the Dorado processed by 5 Star. The 10 fish totaled 305#, it completely filled my 100 qt cooler with a bag of ice. I gave the other fish to 3 other guys on the trip who wanted more fish.
I got one Wahoo using my Lexa 400 on a Phenix 869h with a straight tied P-Line Laser Minnow from the June trip! I didn't realize there were Wahoo around the boat on that stop or I wouldn't have thrown it out there. The other 4 were on bait with three on 30# and one on 40# all with a 44# wire leader.

Glad to hear you had a great trip Mark.
Saw the trip report on BloodyDecks, sounds like it was an amazing time, and a great group to fish with.
What is your favorite setup, or most used on the trip?
Probably the Accurate dx400/2 on a Phenix psw809h with 30# that I got 3 Wahoo and several YFT with. I got my biggest YFT on the Avet SX Raptor on an OC Rods Kaiuli 70mhf with 30#. My coolest catch was a Wahoo on the Lexa 400hs-p on a Phenix 869h with 40# using a PLine Laser Minnow with an upgraded treble hook. Was not expecting that!
