Went through this reel yesterday for Bracker.
SS Sleeve, Double dog and Handle upgrade.
That asbestos 5 stack has to go!

Those dog springs?  Can we get an explanation of that pic with the "dog spring rod" please?  ;D

That is a stainless windshield wiper insert. I put it under that block of wood and move it back and forth on the belt sander until it removes enough material to become springy. It only takes a few minutes.
Robert sent me some coiled spring stainless, but I already used that up.
