Post by: trevore on September 02, 2017, 07:11:15 PM
Anyone here have their hands on a the latest rendition of the Revo Inshore?  Trying to decide if its worth upgrading or if I should just order another of the current version.  Main question is on the the drag stack.  Is it built like the Toro Beast?  Thank you

I bought the Generation 3 this year and just rebuilt it for the first time. The parts are slightly different that in the tutorial, but it looks like they have swapped out some more salt worthy parts. I modified the bearing to be open based on Alan's advice. It is a beautiful reel, very light, but strong enough. I landed a 12 # king salmon in July with it. No problem. I wanted the versatility of casting, but also use it for jigging because of the light weight. I don't know the other models, but I am happy with it. I see that Gen 4 will be out soon.
