My ride gets here between 17:00 and 18:00 today and we (not this "we") are driving straight through to SD. We will pick up a few things in SD on Friday, meet up with friends and have a pre trip dinner. We board the boat Saturday for a 3 day BFT trip.

Lee - have fun my friend, you deserve it :)
Is there a rehab for BFT fishermen? Chasing that fish is addictive as all get out. I'm hooked, line and sinker.
Have a good time, Lee. Next week we want to hear the details about: Keta 2, BFT 0.
Go get em brother!
Let me know what you think of the boat....
Good luck Lee - looking forward to some more good photos! Get it done! - john

Smaller and bunk house sleeping but it was OK last year. I will update when we get back to port.
After a long drive, we left Klamath Falls at 19:30, we are in front of Charkbait in Hungington Beach waiting for them to open in 3 hours.
Good luck, Bud. That drive must be rough. It took me 5 hours to get from Klamath to Eureka area and I was beat.
No direct rout from Klamath County to the coast.
Good luck Lee

Hey, Lee, I'm driving down to SD today, too! Leaving tomorrow on a ROYAL STAR 11-day... staying at the Vagabond tonight. Are you there, too? :)
~A~
Wow, 11 days, slice of heaven, enough time to poke around the lower banks!
Good luck to both of you!

Same to you, Lee! ;)

Now, I know I am late. Both Lee and Aiala have probably already boarded their vessels. My attempted post from yesterday doesn't show.
Good luck to both of you, Lee and Aiala!!
I'm projecting a serious depletion of fish stock with Lee and Aiala out fishing....Good luck and tight lines. Bill
Have fun and Tight lines to you Lee!
The Royal Star got back this morning just after us on the Excel. I had all my stuff loaded into my car by 5:30am. The New Lo An was there too and unloaded at least one cow, of about 275#, that was caught on the kite. I didn't know Lee was heading out or I'd have looked for him!
Damn Mark, I would have liked to say hi.
The BFT were not biting, we got 40-50 pound and a 160 pound ish fish. We got a pile of mid albacore size YFT and micro YT. Weather was great and it was a fun trip with friends.
No pitchers then it didn't happen :)

After a long 12 hour drive, some times in heavy rain but no snow or ice, I got home. Pete decided to push on 5 or so more hours and made it home tired but safe.
It was a fun but not so productive trip with old friends and others I have known for years but never fished with.
Well done.

The BFT must have heard that you were on your way back, Lee. After the fight you went through on the SOA, they knew what you'd go through to catch 'em, so they headed for the hills when they heard you were coming back. Next time you'll have to sneak up on them! ;)
Nice seeing you Lee. You need to come up and fish this summer. Just a few Charters, more fishing with friends on board this year.
Will do, Randy.
