Hello all,
New to the forum. A little background for the issue so the reel is 2 months old and is primarily used for trolling, mooching, and jigging for salmon. Well during my last trip I hooked a juvenile halibut, maybe 2-3Lbs and the reel would not reel in line. Upon inspection after disassembly, the spool rotates freely on the spool shaft. Seperating the 2 parts there appears to be remnants of what looks like red loctite. What could I do here, rebond the spool and shaft together or would it be better to just buy a new spool assembly?
If you send the reel in we will take care of it under warranty being it is only 2 months old.

I would send it in, but I don't want to be down a reel for the remainder of our salmon season if it is someting I can fix relatively easy by rebond in the spool and shaft with either loctite 680 or 640 or an epoxy.
