So despite my best efforts I've managed to wash Spacer (A) #12 down the sink while servicing my Lexa 300HL. This is the little red/orange looking spacer that goes in the magnetic sideplate under the spool bearing.
I put the reel back together and it feels ok. As far as I can tell the bearing sits on a rim that is higher than the place the spacer fills up underneath the bearing so it's not riding directly on the spacer. Just curious what purpose this is really serving and if I might face any long-term ramifications for not having it in there...
Now to go attempt to salvage the tiny tiny clutch spring I stretched out taking apart my pflueger president spinning reel ;D ...
I have used the scrap disks punched out of carbontex washers to replace brass ones that have corroded away.
as long as it spins well, you'll be fine!
Good to hear. I might still try cutting one out of the old drag washers I replaced with the carbontex or an old credit card even...
