I have looked through here and other places and can't seem to find what I am looking for. I'm guessing I'm not using the right words in my search. I pulled my 30 vsw down and cleaned it up recently. I wanted to do an upgrade but can't find the parts to do so. Does anyone have a link of parts needed. I would send it to Cal's but I much prefer doing it myself.
Doing a Cal-type upgrade is pretty complicated; it's not just drop in upgraded parts. Cal is very reluctant to send out parts for end users to use to upgrade their own reels. My recommendation is that you call Cal and get an explanation from the man (or his son) himself.
the standard bearing service and lube is straight forward enough. did you want to increase the drag range as well?
