does anyone know anyone who could rework spool for more line. I use this for kings and tarpon from piers its great for king but have been almost spooled by tarpon. thanks

Would a couple of hundred yards of braid backing solve your problem?

 Cal's 2 speed has done this before in the past, don't know if he still does this.

I use 30lb braid about 1300 yrds of it and a 200 plus tarpon from a pier runs it out quick.

Might a bigger reel be an easier solution?  With heavier line, that would permit more pressure on the fish? And the fish, perhaps, might be in better shape for release?
