We might just make it against the Patriots...
Someone painted this mural in the city, I thought it looked neat

Cool! I see it's Brady he's got! Hate to be petty, but I now have a football team I hate: the Patriots. They'er too good! And I've even gotten over the "Snow Bowl" with the "chop play" when they beat the Raiders years ago. Interesting how some Raider fans give names to plays and games that don't go their way and can't seem to get over it.
The other pro sports team I hate are the Yankees. Also too good. And have a tendency to use teams like the A's as THEIR farm team letting the talent develop in the "show", then throwing $ at the emerging stars.
GO EAGLES!
Gfish
It is one heck of a game.
Looking like it might come down to who has the ball last. I'm rooting for my numbers in several pools!
well, my city sounds like it's 4th of July
Sal,
Your Eagles Definitely flew,
Glad to see that Lombardi Trophy in Philly.
I watched that game from start to finish.
Congrats to the Eagles. ;)
Super Bowl Champs... What a game!!!!!
Hey, it had to happen eventually!
congratulations to the eagles!
What a game to watch!
Eagles!
Maybe the best I've ever watched.
Congratulations Philly!
Way t'go, Eagles! You slew the dragon... Enjoy your championship. :D
~A~
I's about time. Congratulations Eagles.
Joe
Great game. Congrats philly!
WEEHOO! You have no idea what it means to this city.
I want to see a commemorative Penn Greenie!
I only saw the last Eagle's touchdown and concluded that we need new refs and announcers. Really? OMG. I don't know much about football as I never had much interest like my dad and sister and aunties, but still...really?
Congratulations Eagles. Goes to show you, never give up...success is on the horizon.
Bryan, wait until you see how this changes the city. Even the cheese-steaks will taste better! ;D
Nice win, wife's numbers won $125 and I won $75. I was pulling for Philly tho no dedicated dog one way or the other; however, I didn't see why there was even any discussion over the Eagle's last touchdown....the dude had FOUR footsteps down over five yards and then clearly broke plane...if they challenged that as possession and called it back I'd never watch again if that's where the rules / officiating had gotten to.

My wife was bored with the announcers. Al Michaels is just plain boring, no pizzaz. And I liked Chris Collinsworth as a player, but I feel that he inserts his personal opinions too much into his color commentating. He is definitely not pro-west coast. Joe Buck would have been the only worse selection.
The "catch rulings" are in for some significant overview this coming off-season. But I did find that the explanation given for the way the officials ruled on the last TD play was also the way I viewed it. Some of the recent rules regarding "a completed forward pass" have been subject to a lot of interpretation, and therefore inconsistent. And with the use of replay at 'frame by frame' speed that is available to the viewers, any argument could be supported for a questionable call. And if one were to view the last play on a wide-view overhead angle, there could have been several flags thrown, for fouls on both sides.
Congratulations to the Eagles, Nick Foles, and Philadelphia; very deserving champions!!
All,
I'm "super" happy that the Eagles won! As a life long So. Arizonan loved watching our former Az Wildcat Nick Foles lead them to victory!!! What a game. I agree with John, all that talk about the last touchdown was silly!!! Huge difference between a regular rushing play and a scoring run..seems to me he clearly had possession and then broke the plane on the rush.....oh well..great game!!!
My wife and daughters won about $120 bucks in the pools at the party, but somehow seemed to forget that I gave them $75 or so to enter....all good, cuz everyone had a blast ;D
Brett
Well being from Mass. I was pulling for Pat's but it was a great game and pretty darn close could have gone either way but Eagles deserved it they played well !!!! One of there touchdowns was a bit shaky though you have to admit !!! Congrats !!! John Taylor
Been an Eagles fan for a long time as I live only about an hour or so north of the city. Finally some vindication for a franchise that has produced some very good football teams over the years but never got over the hump. Hope it doesn't take another 67 years for a championship, as I won't make it.

i'll forward that on to tony!
had to ask! http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=24316.0
Good one Joe, " commemorative Penn Greenie!" Nick Foles really kept his cool in the last quarter and to boot, made some real gutsy completion plays. Brady seemed to be relying on winning by doing everything perfect, being methodical and not taking any chances. He came pretty close...
Always liked Al Micheals. You can have Chris Collinsworth. Indeed to opinionated(kinda like me) and seems to show favoritism. Got beat as a wide reciever for the Bengales twice in super bowls by the 49'ers, back in the 80's. When he commentates on Niner games, seems like he ever got over it.

Yes Alan, you know me too well, but it need to be under these terms ;D
First, we already have one, its called the Spinfisher.
That reel has Green, White and Silver and the added plus, its one of your favorite... a spinner ;) ;D
Anything over 100, having serial numbers, I would not be interested and of course I would need to fight with Decker for that #1 spot ;D.
Tony could make as many as he wish, but only 100 with serial numbers and only sold here.
The reel could be a 706 or 707 with some unique upgrades in there...I prefer the 707... just a thought ;D
Sal
tell tony!!!! ;D

Tony is probably discussing it already 😄.
Seriously though, if this is going to happen, number 1 needs to go to you.
I would be good with having number 3😁...who knows, we might have a chance😏
I'm in.
I'm in. Dominick
I'm willing to arm wrestle Sal to determine who gets the lower number, but would need a little training time. 8) I wouldn't deserve to have number one.
If I'm not dreaming (most of the time I am ::)), I would want two additional for my brother and brother in law. Heck, I'd even pitch in to gift one to someone on the team.
The victory parade was amazing, not so much in terms of entertainment, but for the outpouring of gratitude and joy that the fans showed. As others have noted, the victory is not just for the current team and fans, but moreover has a historical impact for generations of Eagles fans. There was relatively little visible security for a event of this size in the age of terrorism. We were packed like sardines on the Ben Franklin Parkway, kids and all. What happened was very spontaneous, and a beautiful tribute to the city and its history. Any subsequent Eagles Superbowl victories are not likely to be celebrated at this level.

I kinda claim residency, my first ancestor to the colonies came to Philadelphia in 1715 moved to a little place called compass helped establish the first church there and Died and buried therearound 1740 George Boyd. Buried with his son George and his grandson George. One headstone for all three of them. Pretty sure they'd have been Eagles fans. Pretty sure they enjoyed fishing too!
So I'll, take serial number whatever!
Welcome to the bandwagon, David! :D
