Title: 5500 SS
Post by: sharkman on November 02, 2018, 05:43:04 PM
Need some help tracking down some parts. Just bought a reel that was supposed to be just a malfunctioning bail. It wound up missing all of the tripping mechanism and one of the bail screws was glued on. Now I am trying to salvage the reel by tracking down the parts. The hardest part is the rotor (27-5500). The other parts missing are 28-5500 (Trip Lever), 28A-440 (Cam Lever), 28B-5500 (Trip Lever Bushing), 31A-450 (Trip Arm Screw), 106-5500 (Rotor End Spring), and 31-550 (Bail Arm Screw). The reel is going to be fished so used parts are fine.

Parts for them are getting hard to find. May be time to look for another & make one a donor reel. That's what I did when I bought one with a broken frame & then found out the part was obsolete.      Rudy

Thanks everyone for replying. I found one. Swapped some parts around and all running smoothly.
