I see they don't make the makaira line reel in black anymore, instead the sea is available in gun metal. I really wanted a black one because I think it would good on my new rod. Anyway, Iv found a black one available for sale. I was wondering if there was any significant changes made to the later makairas (not counting the SEa). Basically, are the older black ones up to the same quality as the more recent ones?
The gunmetal, silver, black and blue Mak SEa's are all the same. They just come out with limited edition colors. Gunmetal and silver are the standard colors.
