Title: Saragosa 14k Drag Knob Upgrade
Post by: monstermash on January 04, 2011, 03:20:09 AM
Just recieved the knob and carbon washers from shimano in the mail today and swapped out the drags no problem, but having a little trouble with the knob they sent.  I attached it to the cap easi;y, but the orignal has a gasket and what looks like a silver retaining clip, what they sent me and what I installed on the cap doesn't.  Figure i need to take this off the orignal and it onto the new one.  I can't figure out how take it off??  Pretty sure it is something simple, I am just missing it.  Thanks.

This is the piece, guess  i need to be a little better with my nomenclature Alan.  It sounds dumb, but i can't figure out how to remove that clip for the life of me.  I am scared i will do something to tear up the rubber piece ...

you need a pair of snap ring pliers.
