I don't fish them but, my mountain bike has alot of shimano parts. does shimano make bicycle parts too?

Pretty much anything with gears, in so many environments, Shimano can and do make it j-u-s-t strong enough to do the job.  Have a look inside one of their very small fixed-spool spinning reels to see miniaturisation in practice, then note how they've carried that accuracy into an 18-gear derailleur bicycle setup.

Cool, I thought they were the same co.I would buy a shimano reel if I were to buy a new reel
one today,vs a new made in china penn I just have more reels than my wife has shoes.  Does penn make tennis balls?
