I just saw this report out of San Diego:

Last seen a few days ago heading north off of the Channel Islands - could be in the neighborhood when you lads are out! - john

Belugas travel in small groups, there might be more of them, nice. I bet the guys who spotted it had to rub  their eyes a bit first.

The closest I can go to see whale is past Quebec City,
