The long bar will also fit the Newell 338 and 440.

No, it is not in the road map yet.
But they will be. You better make us some for the 970 as well, I love that reel.
I just purchased one and it arrived today with broken screws in the frame post, the seller claimed that the screws were missing ::). he's being a real you know what about it, but I decided to just let it go.
There are many nice guys out there, but unfortunately a few are nasty.

Guys, Alan C. asked me which one I like best and I'm having a hard time deciding ;D.

(http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g431/pescatore1/untitledbp.png) (http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/pescatore1/media/untitledbp.png.html)

As you could see, the cross bar at the top has a shiny finish, I believe that one would show small scratches than the bottom one, but it sure looks sweet. They are stainless steel and the small scratches might not be a problem, they could be buffed right out.
Please let me know which one you like, thanks!
Sal

I meant guys and gals, sorry Aiala, I always think of you and other ladies here as one of the guys ... I mean that in a good way ;) ;D

Shiny, it looks closer to to original, and will match up better with the chrome rings.  ;D

I think the non-shiny looks more like Stainless, so my vote goes for the non-shiny

Marc..

Ok Wayne, looks like I really got to you when I mentioned that your hands were nice and shiny ;D. that was meant as a compliment. You're not a dummy like me, look at my hands ::)

Now back on the cross bars, Matte would match my hands, but shiny would match yours, I'm leaning towards matching your hands ;) ;D

Alan!! Was wondering, any chance of having those without holes? I kind of like the solid bar look, not sure there's interest but I thought I would ask since I sure would get some . And I think Penn doesn't make them anymore  :(

Marc..

No, we did not make any solid because we wanted to cut some weight off.
