Title: Penn senator 9/0
Post by: radcon91 on November 03, 2018, 12:27:02 AM
My drag is shot on my 9/0. I have redone my two 6/0 will great results. Its been a few years an I have forgotten where I got the upgraded drag washers. Where can I get some upgraded drag washers for my 9/0 that will increase the drag and which brand is the best?

Thanks guys!

There are a couple of options, Adam with Motive Fabrication (in the for sale section on this site) has an insert drag that generates very high 50#'s or more of drag, but you'll need to put some SS goodies inside and should double dog the bridge as well with this option. Bryan Young (in the for sale section on this site) has a 7+1 drag that is really good, but not quite the numbers as the first one I mentioned, you should probably at least put a ss sleeve and ss dog with this option. Here's a link to Bryan's drag and you can get the ss sleeve and dog here to, or you can order from Bryan direct on this site:

I'll let others chime in, there's many in here that know this much better than I.

Good luck with your reel!

If you want to keep it stock and get off cheap.
This is what you need. You can sink a lot of money in a 9/0 if you want to.
These will give you 25 lbs. of smooth drag.
You will need Cal's drag grease applied to make them last and insure smooth operation.
