Post by: FLNJBUM on August 15, 2022, 08:33:56 PM
Looking for a stand for penn 49L. Doesn't have to  be in perfect condition.  Anyone have any suggestions? Penn part number is 30-49  and is part number 30 on penn schematic

I'm sure I have one. I'm sure others will closer than Canada. No charge just pay shipping. PM if your interested. I'll have other 49 parts also if needed.

Cheers:

Todd

That's a popular part which is used in the narrow Squidder (146 Squidder Jr.) and Jigmaster (501), and necessary to convert wider versions of those reels to the more popular narrow configurations which have increased in popularity since the advent of braided lines.

Member Tom at Cortez Conversions just started offering an aftermarket 30-49 in machined aluminum:

They're in anodized black now with red silver and blue to follow. I purchased one from this run and they are excellent quality. I intend to purchase more as colors become available.

Edit: In terms of the stock part, you'll find them once in a blue moon on ebay at between $12-20 plus shipping. Mystic is out of stock, and Fisherman's Headquarters in Surf City NJ showed that they were in stock, I ordered some, but the order was cancelled.

Edit to the edit: If you really need the stock part, Mystic has it in stock as part of a kit/bundle with clamp hardware:
