Title: @Alan, TLD Star 15/30 LH sideplate bushing
Post by: Fubar512 on July 06, 2010, 08:23:12 PM
Hi Alan,

In your TLD star thread, you replaced the LH side plate bushing with a bearing.  Did you experience any issues removing the bushing?  The one on the reel I'm working on is in there rather tight, and I'm almost tempted to use an extractor bit in order to remove it.  Any tips?

Well, I finally extracted it, but it wasn't pretty... ;D

yeah, the graphite side plates swell as they age and can make this extra difficult.  i made a little crobar extractor.  there's a photo of it in the tools section.  alan
