Title: Strike button on Penn 20
Post by: crooksea on April 27, 2009, 11:25:56 AM
Hey Alan, any tricks to get the stop for strike to pop back up on a older penn 20 intl? Also the handle is not spinning freely (big pain yesterday fighting dolphin) is it just a matter of greasing the little zerk on the handle? Any easy way to load grease in there? Do you or anybody make any handle upgrades for this reel? These are the same ones I sent you last year. Sorry for all the questions, thanks! ecrooks(tht).

a 6/0 kolekar grip would go great on this reel.  for the button, add a little oil to it and let it soak overnight.  often it will pop up by morning.  try some xtreme reel + on both the pin and the handle before buying a new handle grip.  alan

handles are here .....  http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=158.0

i've been drilling a counterbore for a stronger connection.  a drill press really helps.  guess i need to shoot a few more pictures.  if you want, send me just the handles and write "RUSH" on the envelope and i can turn them around in an afternoon.  the cost would be the same.  alan
