Title: Talica billfish reel clamp
Post by: Johncdbass on November 21, 2013, 12:49:12 AM
I have 4 shimano billfish models that I need to change the reel seats that have a safety ring that would attach to a Dubro rod/reel storage system so I can hang the rods horizontally in the cabin of our cruiser. The clamps would need to be in stainless to match the reel frames. I contacted shimano and they suggested aftermarket searches and this web site for help. Any ideas. Thanks John

EDIT

The previous answer was poorly worded-on my way to work and it was early......

I have two of the older 'safety ring' Shimano clamps on my TLD 25's so I know what it is you need (I was given those by the Shimano people when they had an office/warehouse/repair facility here long ago I think they didn't know what to do with them so gave them away).

Anyway what I meant to say was that I have seen nothing like what you're after anywhere in hours of looking and the aftermarket options out there are limited.

Epoxying or welding a ring to the existing clamp might be your best bet.
