Howdy I have been away for a while so this might not be new news
but Newell MFG has been bought by a new company
I just got off the phone with Norma there and she says that the new Owner is gonna to bring back all the conversions kits for Penn reels including spools "in the near future "
its been 16 years since the have produced conversions parts
for those of us in old school classic Penn reels this is good news and I thought I would pass it on
maybe now they will take a look at greased carbon fiber drag washers.
