I've never heard of it either but my last name is Thomann so it hits close to home!
Yeah, I did tutorials on the Recordette https://alantani.com/index.php?msg=345376 and the ABU Record 600 & 700 https://alantani.com/index.php?msg=229973 a few years back. They're all similar in design to the Thommen Record. There were a few minor changes along the way, like half bail to full bail, and things like that. Thommen was the US distributor of the Record reels.
