Title: New cf drag washers too small?
Post by: Live2Fish on June 21, 2016, 03:51:11 AM
Felt washers on my Daiwa Legalis 2500sh were a little sticky. Ordered replacement cf washers from smooth drag but they are considerably smaller than felt originals.  A lot less surface area.  Is this a supply mistake?   Seems like the washers will slide around a little as well as provide less surface area for drag...I'll get exact measurements on originals tomorrow.  Should I order custom washers or make my own?

There may be a difference depending on the model year. Just contact the organization that you purchased them from to see if you can return them and order the proper size. Check out http://smoothdrag.com/Carbontex_washer_sizes_Retail3-2014.pdf for the different sizes available. I'm sure there are ones that will fit.
