I's a bit surprised that he let it go. Fish prolly got scraped-up a little being pulled into the yak. Skin scrapes can lead to infection. Maybe not so much in saltwater? But, you know how Salmon can look after heading upstream into freshwater. On topa that his fish was pretty stressed-out from the battle...
Yes mr G but it was their decision. I've been guilty of keeping very large fish in my past. It's an alternative to a charter boat and more adventurous for sure.
Funny thing is you don't ever hear of folks releasing large tuna ever. And few billfish. Just saying. :cf
