Does anyone know/Has anyone measured the inches-per-crank/turn/handle revolution on the 2-series and 3-series (5:1 gear ratio)?
200 5 speed is 27" per turn
300 5 speed is 32" per turn
Gotcha. That's why I want some 3.6:1 gears...
Thanks, Dwight!

You can determine the inches retrieve using the following formula: diameter of the spool x pi (3.14) x gear ratio.
If the diameter of the spool is 2.25" and the gear ratio is 5:1 the inches retrieved would be 2.25 x 3.14 x 5 = 35.325" per one turn of the handle.

If you want to get technical you also need to determine the effective diameter of the spool as the line are coming off the spool. At 1/2 diameter the amount of line per turn is much less and so forth..You probably calculate the actual inches at any instance of the spool is you have the exactly diameter of the effective spool and subtracting for the decreasing spool diameter. There's a math formula in there somewhere.
The simple way is to read what comes in a Newell box.
