Hi,
I would appreciate if you guys can please summarize for me what you do to the reel when you take it out of the box.  Thanks for your input.

Usually putting line on the reel comes next..then fishing with it!  ;D ;D ;D

Sorry too easy... ;D  In reality, I woud take that reel out of the box and immediately grab some new carbontex drags for it greased with cal's drag grease.  Probably the most important thing to do to that reel is to upgrade the drags out of the box.  Now once you open it up to replace the drags, I would oil the bearings and grease the metal parts inside.  You can see standard service procedures on this reel here: http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=24.0
