A few years ago I enjoyed success with a skipper in Cape Verde who had just replaced his previous new rods (I won't mention the make lest lawyers are watching ;)) with a set of four second-hand K-F 130 rods. Although the foam handles were a bit chewed up and the bent butts were knocked and scratched, the Aftco rollers rolled properly and the blanks performed flawlessly on some very nice blue marlin.
I often wondered how large the tips were in comparison to other 130 blanks I have known and I forgot to look at the little number on the Aftco tip roller when I had the chance!
