The anti-reverse dogs are quiet and work well -- but their design means they will result in some resistence when turning the handle. This is most noticeable in high gear. (The anti-reverse dog is essentially a large Ambassadeur-like dog.) That resistance will moderate with use. I don't like it either but I just bought a 16VISX because I've been so impressed with my 20VISX.

Quote from: Cortez_Conversions on Today at 03:19:15 PMSearch for micrometer adjustment spanner wrenches. The look about the same size. Without dimensions, I can't tell for sure.

Yes, that's what mine were originally for, but they had to be filed a little to work properly. I bought 4 separate wrenches so I would have plenty of options in case I needed spanners for multiple size nuts. The bigger the reel the larger the circumference of the notched nuts. The Orvis 50A nuts are pretty darn small. The Delfino nuts are quite a bit larger.

Quote from: sabaman1 on Today at 04:35:21 PMPj I like your smoker setup. Vertical smokers are the best for smoking meats. All your neighbors are probably attracted to your house when you fire it up. Is your smoker a wood chunk smoker?

It can do both but i use charcoal mostly and add wood chucks as I go
