Title: My 501 Build
Post by: Crab Pot on January 23, 2024, 02:19:40 AM
With all this rain I got bored and pulled out my bone stock 501 from the display case and started ordering parts.

Of course I kept it AT.Com local.  :d

Contributors were:

Alan Chue, Drag Star, Handle, & Knob

Tom Hryniuk, Seat, Spacers, Excentric Lever, & Clamp.

Randy Pauly, Spool.

Mystic Reel Parts, Inner & Outer Rings.

I think it came out all right.

this does look nice!
Just enough, to catch the eye, but not over the top.
Looks like a good functioning little tank!
Is it staying out of the display case to get fished now lol?

It'll get used.

My new Iron Jig launcher and 20-40 kit.

I have three spools for it.

My 506HS is a bit jealous though.

Jason,
I'm waiting for my wife to stop noticing all the packages that arrived in machine gun fashion last week before ordering a SS double dog gut kit and Bryan's drag set.
Which is going to be rough because I was alerted my Penn 10/0 arrived this morning and she signed for it.  :cf

So then your 501 is a show car build. The 506 is a sleeper hot rod.

(All in good fun my friend. I used the calcutta today. Come to think of it, yesterday too.)

Something like that, they'll both go on my annual 4 day in August. As much as I love the spool interchangeably it's a pain on the middle of a hot bite swapping out spools.

Come to think about it they'll go on the Washington Albacore trip with Chief,Juan, and Wayne too.
