Title: Rookie Mistake, Battle 4000
Post by: mike1010 on November 06, 2017, 08:01:31 PM
The gears on my BTL 4K gave up, so I am rebuilding it.  I failed to note the position of the two pinion bushings in the reel.  The fact that they were covered in dirty grease might have contributed.  That's my story, anyway.  The schematic doesn't have enough detail to answer.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

The top bushing or bearing holder goes in so the bearing can be pushed up.

The 19A bushings are placed one in the reel and one inside the pinion gear.

I stared at that schematic a long time without seeing both occurrences of 19A.  Thanks, Keith.
