Just joined the forum today - thanks Alan! Haven't fished freshwater in at least 40 years. Recently decided to teach my 12-year-old, so I'm gearing up. Really starting form scratch - bought a couple old Mitchell 300s that I'll need to clean and lube, got a pole on the way, trying to get up to speed again with all the terminology on bait and tackle. Amazing how much you can forget in only four decades!
;D
welcome!!!!!
Welcome aboard, BZ --
Glad to see another fisherman who appreciates the good, vimtage stuff like the Mitchell 300's.
Good to see you spend time with your son -- both of you will never forget it.
Best,
Fred

Welcome to the best fishing site on the net! What part of Texas are you from Basszilla? I'm a little ways south of Houston. My three youngsters are in college now days. So, I'm mostly fishing with buddies and the wife. If your near me and want to talk fishing drop me a line. I'd be happy to share some of the spots I fish in my area.
Welcome!
I've fished saltwater all my life, but did not have a clue about how to properly care for and repair my reels until I found Alan's site. Truly a major find for anyone who appreciates having top performing tackle.
