Been a fan of Alan's work since the bloodydecks days for me. Reel repair/maintenance is something I love for mine and my friends reels. And I'm notorious for modding the heck outta reels
Ultimate drag everything I can, bearing mods and polish the shiz outta stuff to smooth the action.
Love the new stuff, but always want to show people new stuff ain't everything (Newell/penn maniac here)

I've got quite a few modded Penns but haven't landed much with them to speak of. 2 years ago I brought a modded T4XN to SD on a 2 day but had no hook ups... this year I went on a 4 day but brought only 2 Speeds. You got a love that easy button...

Thanks guys for the props and welcome, yeah i basically live in a shack with the cost of living over here. but the fishing and the surf/beach make up for it 1000%.
i use finish line premium grease with teflon on drag washers. i like it cause its pretty smooth, but bites down harder when i up the drag pressure then shimano/cals grease. but overall i think cal's is better all around.
regular polylube 100 on the shaft/handle bearings and main/pinion gear, and dupont teflon spray on the spool bearings.
