Title: Shimano Baitrunner 3500 B? Question About The Baitrunner Mechanism

My baitrunner mechanism is sticking after it is in the freespool mode. It engages only halfway and not fully. Any ideas on what it is?

Pull the side cover off. Sometimes they get water in them though the mechanism or it's very dry inside.
