I was just wondering if anyone on here had any experience using these Spro or Offshore Angler squidtail jigs  ??? ??? ??? ???

I'm thinking of picking up a couple 4oz to use over here on the Central California lingcod trips....any thoughts????

I used the 1/2 oz and 3/4 oz fluke fishing in the Long Island  bays last year , they worked well with a  strip of squid

I think the 4oz. size might be a bit light unless you are in 140' of water or less. Cape San Martin is famous for it's currents and at 240' you are going to want at least 8oz... 10-12oz. and even 16oz. to make the drop. That being said it will probably be flat, calm and no current  ;D The key to where we are going is get down and hooked up fast so you don't get tangled.
