Title: roller guide tip
Post by: mikeysm on June 19, 2018, 03:01:40 AM
I am trying to fit a roller guide that was made for a larger tip blank. Getting a different roller tip is not a option. I could cut down the blank or make a sleeve to down size the roller guide tip. Is their anyone with a better idea. I can make a sleeve in no time so I might go that route.

try   wrapping  tip of  rod  with  a layer or  two  of thread  before   you  fit  the  top.

Hi Mike,

I've added a few coats of wrapping epoxy to build it up then sand down the epoxy to the shape of the tube then fit with tip top heat glue. More work than thread but a solid fit.
