Title: Daiwa vs Shimano
Post by: turboal on June 28, 2010, 01:35:46 PM
Hi, witch HI SPEED reel do you think, like, opinion, is better ??? ::)
Daiwa saltist STTLD40 2SPD LD 6.3:1/3.1:1
Shimano Tyrnos TYR30II 2SPD LD 5.0:1/2.5:1
How hard to work on and how easy to modify the drag ?
The cost of both is close.

I am not sure about working on them but those two reels mentioned are quite different in size. I believe the Tyrnos 16II is closest in size to the Daiwa that you referenced. The Tyrnos 30 is big like a TLD 30 and probably intended more for trolling  than casting. The 16II has an open top frame like the Daiwa. Just an FYI
