Title: I thought I could cast
Post by: mechanicpsyco on June 11, 2017, 05:49:02 PM
I have included a you tube link to a video that is old but at the same time blew my mind.  I was always proud of my close to 100 yard heaves, but this is amazing, this guys technique with the pendulum cast is awesome.

makes you wonder what you could do with a 14-15' rod don't it!

Using this technique more than likely send a 6oz spider weight through the back of my head.
A lot going on at one time......and I am easily confused. LOL!

pretty sure I've seen old-school diagrams for an even more complex/involved pendulum cast:
starts out one-handed w/ LH pulling extra line to the side;
when lead is farthest back, LH is back on rod & line out is MUCH longer than the rod;
final cast is slower/less snap -- for delicate baits (or bystander removal, LOL)
