Title: Penn 113 H2
Post by: triumphrick on May 23, 2019, 08:02:35 PM
Sorry if this is a repeat complaint, but searching for issues with this reel shows every Penn Senator thread..

Who else is experiencing the loss of anti reverse when the bridge screws are tightened??

It just goes away. Back the screws out a half turn and you get it back.

I really would never own one, but several of the charter captains I service have them...and some have a bunch.

I have tried loctite when I feel I have the tension just right, but the screw wont always hold...

It sounds like a big wad of grease around the dog or not enough clearance on the sides of the dog. Try oiling the dog instead of greasing it. Measure the distance between the plate and bridge when tightened down and the thickness of the dogs. Check for burrs on the plates and dogs.        Rudy
