Title: Difference in a 330N & 331N
Post by: Waydown on November 13, 2018, 11:33:55 AM
What are the differences in a 330N and 331N? I bought a 330N and will the parts interchange, any cranking speed difference between the two? I have had my 331N many years (think I bought it back in 70's) and has been a great reel...will be using it for light surf fishing and bought the 330N on a good deal. Seems both are very close in all aspects, but would like to hear from the experts.

I believe that the 331 is the HI SPEED Version of the 330.

331 is high speed, basically 4.8:1, so the gears are different. The original crank handle is also a little longer on the 331 to help with the higher speed. Most other parts will interchange, including the handle when removed from the main gear shaft.
